Well I finished all of MW's oeuvre and now not sure what I'm in mood for now... As said, reading quickly and back-to-back you do pick up author's quirks and patterns, but there is enough variety for it not to irritate. I like the way she has similar characters in different books who make different choices or have other things happen that dictate the paths they take. she also throws in what may be more coincidence than Dickens, but knowingly and in a way that made me not mind. And while she may engineer meetings that I awaited with baited breath, they don't always go the way one would expect. Having reread them all I'm more impressed than I was before.
