I've just been reading a book about Mary Magdalene. It contained stuff I knew, stuff I half knew and new material. I was interested in some of the things it brought up about Mary, the mother of Jesus and some other bits and wanted to read the Gospels but my bible was not where it was supposed to be. I suspected my Cariad may have tidied it away and found it all a bit frustrating.

I came into my study and suddenly noticed it! This was not a deliberate act. I use the boot as a bookend and I must have looked something up and looked for a convenient place to put it down afterwards. Tells you everything you need to know about me, shoes, books and chaos!

These pics are completely unstaged, but I guess say a lot about me. Joanna Russ and Mary Wesley are nicely alphabetised above and next to bible. A mad impossible fetishistic boot becomes a bookend. And haphazardly 'Sixteen of the best' (spanking story anthology that features mine and my Cariad's stories), 'The Women's Room' (recently reread), a Marian Keyes and a book of microwave recipes wait to be properly housed or rehoused alongside another book on Magdalene, a Patricia Cornwell and No.1 Ladies Detective Agency tomes and other bits and pieces.
