I know I've not been much of a blogger recently, but life's been hectic and I've not been feeling very inspired. Never-the-less I am still a fan of the blog and blogging and love the way this site gives option for 'community' feel, although I don't like reduction to age, sex, location thing that makes it feel like a dating site or something.

I've got caught up in message boards again recently and there is consternation and gnashing of teeth as the BBC Woman's Hour board is closing down.

Blogging has been suggested as alternative - especially for those who like to write long, personal posts. Others have been quite sniffy about blogs and see them as unread egotrips. I can see that they may have a point, but my experience has been positive and interactive, but with me in control, which has suited me fine.

Always interesting to revisit one's motives.

As said I'd been aware of blogs for some time and was listening to a serial on the radio about a seventy-year-old female blogger, so thought I'd give it a go and I'm still around...

The issue around in Oct 05 that I chose to discuss was 'extreme porn' law and possible interpretations re spanking and BDSM. I guess it's all more in the public domain since the Mosley case and law is now in existence I believe.

I love my private/public 'soapbox' and I know I've been inspired by others and others have related to me. Personally, writing about spanking is important to me and focus of blog, but interacting with others and being a reasonably rounded (figuratively, although I am literally as well!)person I do enjoy blogging on stuff that catches my imagination and interest, whatever that may be. It's been lovely that closeted spankos have enjoyed my blogs and that non-spankos find enough common ground for cyber friendship and enjoyable exchanges.

here's to the art of blogging!
