Somehow got into silly chat about Wild West Saloon Girls on a BBC messageboard thread after I failed to pick up clues for 'garters'.
There is something about the Wild West and the Saloon Girl look that seems both very sexy andd fertile for spanking scenarios - may be result of certain moments from Bonanza and John Wayne - What was it with him and Maureen O'Hara?

My Cariad and I have written a couple of stories based in Wild West and this is an extract from an unpublished one wot I rote featuring Saloon girls and their underpinnings
“As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted…You two know the score…Lou will raise your skirts, ladies…and part your drawers for you…”
Once again Suzee and Kitty found themselves bent over the familiar table. This time they were side by side at Stan’s instructions “to afford a better view” to the “outraged citizens”. With a grin that made Suzee hope her blush went unnoticed Stan drawled that he’d been practising his backhand. Suzee and Kitty were drawn on to tip toes by a smirking Peg and Sadie pulling their wrists. All the girls knew the deputy liked to have a naughty bottom presented at just the right angle… This time no protest came from either woman.
At Stan’s nod and the collective intake of breath by the rapt audience, Lou raised Kitty’s skirts first. Lou knew she’d be made to pay for her choice but she felt Suzee deserved some reward for her bravery, despite her airs and graces. The whoop drew the distracted girl’s attention to her boss’s unexpected sudden nakedness! The haughty older girl was already bare-bummed! She wore what appeared to be long drawers, but were in fact merely frills tied above her knees. After her rude comments about her girls sometimes dispensing with their drawers, she was the one caught without her underwear! At one swoop the saloon-owner’s bare backside was on sudden and unexpected display to the delight of the punters.
Shaking with both nerves and suppressed laughter Lou raised Suzee’s layers of protective skirt and petticoats. No one wore as many layers of white cotton and lace as Suzee! As the pristine layers were raised an interested silence took over as the tops of her little boots and dark stockings came into view. The thin gauzy drawers just about covered her modesty and Suzee shook with trepidation as the gentle Lou undid the neat buttons and parting the drawers, slid them to one side so her round bottom was exposed to the now silent onlookers. As Suzee’s bottom was made visible and as vulnerable as Kitty’s, although a little more elegantly presented, the onlookers sighed once again at the sound of Stan unbuckling this belt. And Kitty and Suzee could not help but shiver in worried anticipation as they heard the belt slide though the loops of Stan’s Levis.
Stan debated with himself as he slid his belt through and clear of his dusty denims. Alternating his strokes between the girls had a certain charm. He remembered his enjoyment of such an ‘arrangement’ last time they’d both taken a public whupping. He was inclined to be merciful to Suzee though. She’d get it real hard all right, but as she was to take a second beating he thought he’d deliver the first, reasonably swiftly. Kitty’s totally bare bum made him grin, though! He was also willing to bet there was more going on than the girls were letting on…
